Science Initiative Student Checklist

As a prospective Science Initiative student, you have a lot laid out in advance for you, but successful admission is still dependent on you and your ability to convey your interests. 

1. Complete the Student Information Request Form

2. Complete the Student Agreement / Release Form.

3. Complete the Application for Admission to SRSU.

4. Complete the Proof of Texas Residency Document.

5. Complete the SRSU Application for Financial Assistance.

6. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which can an be completed online. Sul Ross State University's school code is 003625.

7. See Ms. Latisha Williams (Director of Financial Aid, MC) 432.685.4757, lwill@midland.edu) for the required Financial Aid Consortium Agreement Between Sul Ross State University and Midland College, even if you do not plan to utilize financial aid resources.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

* Hard copies of most materials can be retrieved from the Transfer Specialist, SRSU at Midland College: 432.685.6454. (The position is currently vacant but information will be updated as soon as the position is filled.) The Financial Aid Consortium Agreement Between Sul Ross State University and Midland College necessitates special information safety provisions.  For those pursuing Financial Assistance, this form must be completed EVERY LONG TERM in which Financial Assistance is sought.  Additionally, the form MUST BE COMPLETED AT THE MC CAMPUS REGISTRAR'S OFFICE.  Ms. Latisha Williams (Registrar, MC: 432.685.4757, lwill@midland.edu) is the primary contact for this and knows best how to see through a  successful completion of this part of the process. 

* Failure to complete these forms can result in complications for admission into this program, and can create the kind of complications that are very difficult to track.  Please discuss any potential complications as they arise with the Transfer Specialist listed above.
